Why I Became a Winemaker

I was born in the Jura and raised near Paris, France. I discovered my passion for nature as a teenager while working on a farm in the South of France.

After completing a 2 year undergraduate biology and chemistry diploma, I moved to Dijon, Burgundy in order to get closer to the countryside and study Viticulture. I love nature, watching the sky, the clouds, the sun, and I feel connected to the strength of the seasons. It is so impressive to watch the vines grow; the buds break in March April and tiny leaves come out followed by little clusters of flowers. Then in June the flowers pollinate and become small berries that keep growing until they're ready to harvest in fall.

After receiving my bachelor in Viticulture, I became fascinated with the wine making process. My knowledge and passion for chemistry and biology allowed me to complete a master in fermentation science at the University of Dijon, Burgundy.
